AMON AMARTH Cancels Appearance At Slovenia's METALCAMP Festival
April 29, 2007Swedish metallers AMON AMARTH have been forced to cancel their appearance at the Metalcamp 2007 festival (set to take place July 16-21, 2007 in Tolmin, Slovenia) due to their participation in this summer's Sounds of the Underground tour.
Regarding the upcoming SOTU dates, AMON AMARTH writes in a statement, "This is the first time for AMON AMARTH to play a summer festival tour in North America and we're looking forward to it as it will be a new experience for us."

AMON AMARTH's latest CD, "With Oden on Our Side", entered the national album chart in Sweden at No. 21 and in Austria at No. 27. The album has also debuted on the German national chart at position No. 21. This is the highest chart entry in Germany of any band on the Metal Blade roster, according to a posting on the group's web site. The group's video for the song "Runes to my Memory" has been posted online at this location (Windows Media). An exclusive media player for "With Oden On Our Side", featuring two songs from the album, can be accessed at this location. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren.
